Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu has officially completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Newcastle United, as confirmed by the clubs.
The Black Stars men spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Newcastle from the Blues and the clubs have now reached an agreement for a permanent move.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal, with the transfer fee a reported 6.2-million Pounds.
Atsu joined Chelsea in 2013 but never made a competitive appearance for the club, spending time on loan at Vitesse, Everton, Bournemouth and Malaga before joining Newcastle last August.
"We wish Christian the best of luck in his future career,” read a Chelsea statement.
"We are happy to sign a good player," Benitez said of Atsu on Newcastle's official website.
"He's shown us that he's a good professional and someone who is very keen to learn and improve.
"Christian has been a key part of our promotion campaign and he wants to help us to build something for the future."
