Ghanaian striker Abdul Majeed Waris is set to be the subject if a transfer bid from French giants Girondins de Bordeaux in the European summer.
The 25-year-old striker suffered relegation from Ligue 1 this season, with Lorient finishing 18th on the top flight log before losing 2-1 on aggregate to Troyes in the promotion-relegation playoff.
Waris has been one of the few Lorient players who has enhanced his reputation, with the Black Stars man particularly impressive in the second half of the season.
The West African has netted 20 league goals in the past two seasons and is regarded as a reliable scorer in Ligue 1.
As a result, Bordeaux are looking at making a bid for the attacker, who could be signed for a fee in the region of 5-million Euros.
Waris has earned a recall to the Ghana national team and is also set to marry his childhood sweetheart in his his home country early next month.
