Thursday Jun 08, 2017. 12:30
Just after their 2019 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria on Saturday, South Africa will host Zambia in a friendly on Tuesday.
The match against Chipolopolo will follow the crucial encounter in Uyo this Saturday as new coach Stuart Baxter wants to start his second spell on a high.
On the other hand, Wedson Nyirenda is also preparing his men for their AFCON qualifier against the Mambas of Mozambique on Saturday in Ndola.
The two former African champions last met in January 2015 at Orlando Stadium where Thuso Phala's goal separated the two nations.
The international friendly match was used as a warm-up clash shortly before the start of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Baxter will lead his side for the second time as coach. The match will be staged on Tuesday, 13 June at Moruleng Stadium, getting underway at 19:00.
