A trio of Championship clubs - QPR, Bolton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest - are set to try and sign Nigerian attacker Sammy Ameobi.
The 25-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the month when his contract with Newcastle United expires.
Ameobi, who is the younger brother of former Nigerian international Shola Ameobi and represented the West Africans at U-20 level, spent part of the 2016/17 season on loan at Bolton and helped them earn promotion from League One to the Championship.
Get West London reports that QPR and Forest are interested in signing the player, while Bolton are hoping to bring him back to the Macron Stadium - this time on a permanent basis.
Ameobi has been on the books of Newcastle United since 2008, though he has also represented Bolton, Cardiff City and Liverpool on loan.
