AfricanFootball.com broke the story on Wednesday that Botswana national team coach Peter Butler will join Platinum Stars, and the club has since confirmed the appointment.

The English manager replaces Cavin Johnson who saw his contract not renewed by the Rustenburg-based outfit a few weeks ago.

According to Botswana media reports, Botswana Football Association announced that they have parted ways with the coach, a move which confirmed the switch to the former MTN8 Cup champions.
