Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah has claimed that a move to England is “90%” complete, with Newcastle United his likely suitors.
The Torino and Ghana star has been linked with a move to promoted Premier League side Newcastle and his latest comments have fuelled speculation that he will soon be joining the Magpies.
"Yes, it is very likely I will be moving to England", Acquah told GhanaWeb.com.
"It is 90% complete, but we are still talking, once we finish, I am sure an announcement will be made.”
The 25-year-old midfielder has also followed Newcastle’s official account on Twitter, sparking further belief that he is set to join the club.
The Black Stars player helped Torino finish in the top half of the Serie A log last season, making 20 appearances and chipping in with two goals.
