Botswana side Township Rollers to host Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs are set to play Township Rollers in an international club friendly match.

The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Francistown Sports Complex in Botswana's second city, Francistown on 22 July 2017.

Amakhosi will travel to Botswana for the first time since 2015. Chiefs beat Rollers 1-0 in the 2015 CAF Champions League preliminary round second-leg match in Gaborone.

Prior to that the two glamorous clubs will meet in the 2017 Bokone Bophirima Maize Cup semi-final match in Orkney, South Africa on Saturday, 15 July.

Rollers made the announcement through their official Facebook page on Wednesday:

"BREAKING NEWS - SAVE THE DATE !!

We shall host Kaizer Chiefs FC on 22nd July 2017 for a club friendly fixture at the Francistown Sports Complex," a statement read.

The winner between Rollers and Chiefs will meet Platinum Stars or Free State Stars in this year's Maize Cup final.

All matches are scheduled to take place at the James Motlatsi Stadium in Orkney.
