South Sudan will host Uganda in the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualification Central-East Zone match at the Juba Stadium in Juba on Friday.
Kick-off is at 15h30 CAT.
The Bright Stars have never qualified for the CHAN finals and they will be hoping to make history by booking their place in next year's tournament.
South Sudan had to defeat Somalia 4-1 on aggregate in the first round in April, 2017. The Bright Stars won 2-1 away and 2-0 at home.
Leon Uso Khamis and James Moga (who scored twice against Somalia) are South Sudan's dangermen and they will look to help their side beat Uganda.
Meanwhile, Uganda's Cranes have qualified for the last three CHAN finals. But they have never reached the knockout stages of the tournament.
The Cranes did not take part in the first round and they will be looking to beat South Sudan, and advance to the next round of qualification.
Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Brian Majwega are some of Uganda's key players in the squad that will face the Bright Stars in South Sudan.
Referee Idris Mehammad Osman, who hails from Eritrea, will be in charge of the encounter between South Sudan and Uganda.
