Manchester United are reportedly ready to turn their attention to signing Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier, with their pursuit of Monaco utility player Fabinho proving increasingly frustrating.
According to the Independent, the Red Devils will give up on landing Fabinho and turn their attention to signing £25m-rated Aurier instead.
PSG head coach Unai Emery has revealed that Aurier wants to leave the French capital, with the Ivory Coast international slipping down the pecking order following the arrival of Dani Alves from Juventus.
“I spoke with Serge to tell him that I wanted him to stay,” Emery told L’Equipe.
“He told me that he wants to leave and he preferred staying in Paris to prepare for his departure.”
If Aurier, 24, were to complete his move to Manchester the defender will join fellow Elephants teammate Eric Bertrand Bailly at Old Trafford.
