Ivory Coast international Salomon Kalou is looking forward to playing in the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League with Hertha Berlin.
Hertha qualified for next season's Europa League group stages after finishing sixth in the German Bundesliga log during the 2016/17 campaign.
Kalou, who is 31, says he won't have time to go out with friends because of Hertha's tight match schedule in the new season.
"I'm not going out any more," Kalou told Sport Bild.
"If you only play Bundesliga, you can also go out on Saturday after the game with friends and enjoy time for you.
"Now you can not afford this anymore. We have more games and we have to prepare ourselves even better," he continued.
The quick striker, who won the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League title with English side Chelsea, is happy with the Hertha's new signings.
"This broad squad was what we missed in the last two years. Reinforcements only mean that we have to get better again," he said.
"We have to go to an even higher level."
