The Botswana Premier League (BPL) remain hopeful that the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC) will extend their sponsorship deal.
BPL's chief executive officer Thabo Ntshinogang has revealed that they are working hard to conclude talks with BTC.
Ntshinogang also provided an update regarding the Top 8 Cup sponsors, Mascom, a mobile phone service provider operating in Botswana.
"Negotiations are still on and cannot reveal anything now. I can promise you that we will make it," Ntshinogang said.
"Yes, it is true clubs are owed grants, but it is a difficult subject to discuss for now.
"We will update the media and the public soon about the league sponsor and Top 8 Cup."
BTC, who are telecommunications and Internet service provider in Botswana, have been sponsoring BPL since 2008.
Township Rollers have clinched the last two BTC Premiership titles.
