Premier League side Stoke City have signed Cameroon forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
The Daily Mail reports that the Potters have agreed a three-year deal for the Indomitable Lions forward, who was a free agent after seeing out his contract with German Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
The 28-year-old Hamburg-born player will move outside of Germany for the first time in his career, though he has represented Cameroon since 2010 and was a part of their squads at the last two World Cups.
Choupo-Moting’s signing comes at just the right time for Stoke and manager Mark Hughes, who have seen their forward options depleted by the sale of Marko Arnautovic and Jonathan Walters.
The Cameroon attacker will hope to make his debut for the Potters when they open their 2017/18 Premier League campaign with a trip to Everton on Saturday, 12 August.
