Central African neighbours Equatorial Guinea and Gabon will go head-to-head in 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers this month with the first leg to take place at the Nuevo Estadio de Malabo on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.
Nzalang Nacional have yet to qualify for a CHAN showpiece, but will fancy their chances with the victor over two-legs sealing their place at next year's tournament to be hosted in Kenya.
The Panthers on the other hand have participated in three previous CHAN tournaments with their best showing coming in in 2014 as they reached the quarterfinals in South Africa.
In terms of the latest FIFA World Rankings, Equatorial Guinea occupy 116th place while Gabon sit in 88th spot.
The two nations have gone head-to-head on 11 previous occasions with Gabon claiming six wins compared to two for their opponents.
The second-leg will take place in Libreville next week.
