Nigerian internationals John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo have both been named in the Super Eagles squad.

The Super Eagles will face Cameroon, who are the reigning Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions, in back to back 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has also named goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, who was criticised after Nigeria's 2-0 defeat to South Africa in the 2019 AFCON qualifier in Uyo last June.

Uche Agbo, Henry Onyekuru, Kenneth Omeruo, Aaron Samuel, Alhassan Ibrahim, Stephen Eze and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi are placed on standby.

Nigeria will host the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Uyo on 1 September 2017. The return leg match will be played in Yaounde on 4 September 2017.
