goes into the referee's book as he makes his way off the park - he won't mind too much as Congo continue to lead their hosts.
Congo happy to sit back and frustrate their hosts - the Red Devils have just looked more organized and determined the Black Stars who are on the cusp of seeing their World Cup hopes go up in smoke.

with a sight at goal, but Mouko is up to the challenge. Black Stars pressing forward now.

Good diving stop by Mouko

rasping effort from well outside the area. Pressure mounting.

26' Yellow Card
goes into the referees book.
Congo-Brazzaville the more urgent of the two sides and deserved leaders thus far. Ghana will need wake up if they are to restore parity.

silences the home crowd. Nguessi
pounces on a mistake by Attamah
before teeing up Bifouma

has the ball in the back of the net, but he looks rather sheepish as he hammers home - his attempt is duly chalked off with the assistants flag raised.
Nothing between the two teams in the opening exchanges of the clash - no chances yet in what is a high pressure game for the Black Stars.
Break in play as Nguessi
receives some treatment - golf cart has been called onto the pitch, but he is back on his feet... looks like he should be okay to continue.
Lack of communication a the back as Amartey and Richard Ofori
a real threat for the visitors - Ghana lucky to escape.
Kick-off in Kumasi - must win game for both teams as they aim to close the gap between themselves and the two teams above them; Uganda & Congo.
