Wilfried Bony will be welcomed back to Swansea ‘with open arms’ according to the club’s defender Alfie Mawson.
The Swans signed the Elephants striker from Manchester City on a two-year deal last week, having watched him leave Wales for the Etihad Stadium back in January 2015.
Bony has struggled for game time since leaving the Liberty Stadium almost three years ago, but there is hope that he will rekindle the scoring form he enjoyed with the Swans.
"We know what he brings, some of the other players have been saying he is an absolute beast in training and in games, I like players who train how they play," Mawson told Sky Sports News in regards to Bony.
"You can see the quality he possesses and he loves to score goals and that is what we want him to do.
“He is always positive and the fans and the club love him so he going to be welcomed back with open arms, and I know he is going to score goals and add to the threat we have up top."
