Liberia coach James Debbah says his side can make history against Senegal at the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.

The West African tournament will be hosted by Ghana between 9th-24th September.

The Lone Stars did not take part in the recent 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as they were knocked out in the second round.

“We have been training for the last three weeks; I don’t think we are adequately prepared,” Debbah told Soka25east.com.

However, the tactician is confident that Lone Stars can cause an upset against the Lions of Teranga.

“It is a problem for the techinical staff when the players are not in camp, they go home and wedo not monitor their activities," he added.

“From what I know we have not beaten Senegal before but that is in the past,it could be changed if we are given the necessary support."

Liberia are set to face Senegal in their first match on Sunday in Cape Coast.
