Jordan Ayew is fit and ready to play for Swansea City this weekend, despite missing Ghana's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Brazzaville on Tuesday.
Ayew, 25, failed to travel with the Black Stars to Congo for their 5-1 win due to a reported stomach bug, but the former Aston Villa striker has made a full recovery and is available for the Swans English Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
The Welsh club welcome the Magpies to the Liberty Stadium with Ayew set to go head-to-head with fellow Ghanaian Christian Atsu on Sunday.
JORDAN AYEW RETURNS TO SWANSEA FOLLOWING BRAZZAVILLE ABSENCE
Swansea head coach Paul Clement is relieved that Ayew was able to make a quick turnaround and confirmed that the French-born forward could be involved this weekend.
"Jordan is fit and well after he missed a game through illness and some worrying pictures emerged of him in a hospital bed," Clement said.
"I believe he was in hospital, but it was just a precautionary measure and he is now okay."
Ayew's meteoric rise from sickness to health will raise question marks about his commitment to Ghana's national team, with brother Andre having also missed the trip due to reported injury.
