Benin striker Steve Mounie has revealed that he will try to follow in the footsteps of Ivorian Didier Drogba following his strong start to life at Huddersfield Town.
The 22-year-old striker, who was Huddersfield’s club-record signing when he arrived from Montpellier, has revealed that Chelsea legend Drogba was a hero of his during his youth days.
"I watched him, he was a top player," the Benin international told Sky Sports.
"Didier Drogba was one of the best I used to watch.
"He was a great player and an example for me in the Premier League. I try to follow his steps.
"But I'm Steve Mounie and I try as well to make my history, my proper history.”
Mounie has already scored two Premier League goals for Huddersfield and will look to add to his tally when they face Leicester City on Saturday.
