Bloemfontein Celtic missed out on a top eight finish in the Absa Premiership during the 2015/16 season thanks to their inconsistency throughout the campaign.

The Serame Letsoaka-coached side blew hot and cold, and eventually, they finished eleventh on the league table, but only four points behind eighth-placed SuperSport United.

Letsoaka was appointed in the middle of the season - replacing Clinton Larsen. Letsoaka was previously with Lamontville Golden Arrows and so he swapped clubs with Larsen.

Former Bafana Bafana assistant coach Letsoaka has had time to assess the team during pre-season and prepare it for the new season by reinforcing his squad.

The Free State giants shipped out Keamogetse Wolff, Wade Jooste, Alushavhiwe Marubini, Bongani Mpande, Keagan Buchanan, Tumelo Letuka as well as Geofrey Massa.

While Helder Pelembe and Abdul Fiston Razak returned to Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively after their loan deals at Celtic expired at the end of the season.

Furthermore, Phunya Sele Sele announced the signing of as many as eight players and they were unveiled ahead of the new 2016/17 Premiership season.

Robert Sankara, Cheslyn Jampies, Dean Hotto, Atusaye Nyondo, Mpho Maruping, Sibusiso Mxoyana, Tlou Molekwane and Kethokwakhe Masuku were all signed by Celtic.
