According to reports in the media, Nicolas Pepe’s exit from Arsenal is gathering momentum amid agency changes and also, the potential arrival of Leeds United winger Raphinah.
It has not gone according to plan for Pepe at Arsenal, following his mega £72million move to the London-based club in 2019.
The Ivorian has struggled to make a meaningful impact since then and has been a shadow of the player who lit up the French Ligue 1 during his two year spell with Lille.
For Lille, Pepe managed to score 37 goals, while recording 18 assists in 79 appearances for the club. With the Gunners, the winger managed to net just 27 goals and 21 assists in 112 outings for the English giants.
Now though, it has been reported that the links between Arsenal and Leeds United for the services of Raphinah is said to be having an impact on Pepe’s reported exit from the club.
Also, according to Goal.com, Pepe has switched agents in a bid to accelerate a move away from Arsenal.
The same report also suggests that Arsenal are open to Pepe leaving the club, however, his reported wage of £100 000-a-week could prove to be a stumbling block in finding a suitor.
