Ajax Amsterdam are yet to receive offers for Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus ahead of the European summer transfer window.

This is according to the Dutch football powerhouse’s director of football affairs for Ajax, Sven Mislintat as he discussed the club’s key players.

The year 2022 saw Kudus produce stunning performances for both club and nation which saw the attacking midfielder being linked with English clubs with Manchester United, Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Liverpool FC.

“Lorenzo Lucca is leaving, there is no alternative for Jurriën Timber. Each position must be occupied twice, so we are short in numbers,” Mislintat said on One Football.

“And then it depends on the market who stays. It is clear which players are most attractive to top international clubs. I’m thinking of a trio: Mohammed Kudus, Edson Álvarez, and Timber

“It just depends on the market what will happen. I know of interest from clubs, but there are no offers yet. So there is nothing concrete,” he added.

“There are talks, but we have to wait and see what will happen. I can tell you that the budget we have to spend is excellent. I am very happy with that.”

Kudus, 22, who is contracted to Ajax until June 2025, played 42 competitive club matches in the 2022-23 season – scoring 18 goals and providing six assists.
