Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns were on the end of dominant victories in their latest CAF Champions League second-leg preliminary round ties, while Orlando Pirates impressed in their travels to Botswana.

Sundowns, who were originally scheduled to play Mbabane Swallows in an away fixture this past weekend, recorded an emphatic 4-0 win against the Eswatini side at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

With Swallows unable to host Downs at a Stadium at an international standard stadium, the PSL giants took full advantage of playing at one of their own home grounds as Lucas Ribeiro (2), Mosa Lebusa and Iqraam Rayners got their names on the scoresheet in Atteridgeville.

Elsewhere, raining CAF Champions League holders Al Ahly swept Gor Mahia aside in a 3-0 victory at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.

After Ramy Rabia got his name on the scoresheet in the 14th minute of the match, South African star Percy Tau rounded off the scoreline with efforts in the 15th and 74th minute respectively.

The second-leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round will now commence on Friday, 20th September.
