Djibouti out to avoid another walloping

Djibouti will be out to avoid another hammering when they face Swaziland in a 2018 FIFA World Cup first round, second-leg qualifier at Somhlolo National Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Sihlangu showed absolutely no mercy as they romped to a 6-0 away win over the African minnows last week, to all but assure their place in the next round.

Leading 1-0 at the break courtesy of a Mthunzi Mkhontfo strike, the 'King's Shield' turned up the style in the second-half with goals from Sabelo Ndzinisa, Muzomohle Dlamini, Sandile Hlatjwako and a brace from the influential Thulani Tsabedze completing the rout.

The game served as increasing evidence that Swaziland's 2-1 win over Guinea in their opening 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier was no fluke, with the Southern African side showing great potential.

With a clash against Nigeria in the next round, Swaziland will be eager to put Africa's worst ranked side to the sword once again.

For the 'Shoremen of the Red Sea', avoiding another huge defeat will be their main priority.

Having conceded 16 goals in their last three competitive outings, keeping a clean sheet away from home could well serve as a massive morale boost for the visitors.

Kick-off in Lobamba is set for 19h00 (CAT).
