The Cranes of Uganda are chasing a win against South Sudan as they meet for the second leg of their 2018 CAF African Championships qualifier on Saturday.

With Milutin Sredojevic's men failing to bag a win last week, the return match at home means they will enjoy an added advantage.

Following their 0-0 draw away last week, Uganda will now want to wrap up the proceedings at home and head secure a place in the second round of the qualifiers.

“We had an fair game away only that we failed to score. The positive is that we managed to create as many goal scoring opportunities as possible,” said Sredojevic.

“We missed so many chances including a penalty, had a goal disallowed and we shall polish on the weaknesses in the remaining days.”

Looking at the Bright Stars, the visitors are aware that they have exerted pressure on themselves as they failed to win at home.

Heading to Kampala will not be an easy trip, but they will have to fight harder to emerge as victors come Saturday.

Coach Felix Komoyangi will target a clean sheet, but motivate his side to become clinical in front of goal.

A win for Uganda or South Sudan will mean they will face the winner between Rwanda and Tanzania in the third round – a winner in that clash will seal a spot in Kenya.

The encounter will be staged at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Kampala on Saturday at 15:00 (CAT).
