Aduana Stars remained in the drop despite thumping Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at home on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
Richard Arhin shot Aduana ahead in the 28th minute before Godfred Saka converted from the spot in the 64th minute to cushion the lead.
The experienced Stephen Owusu added the third for the Fire Club three minutes from full time to send the club to a convincing and comfortable 3-0 win.
But winger Bennett Ofori scored late in the game for Berekum Chelsea to reduce the damage.
It was second goal for the 2011 champions who look safe on the table.
Aduana are second-bottom with 30 points but have one match in hand.
