Kabamba Mukundji put the ‘Blood and Gold’ ahead in the 78th minute from the penalty spot, with Badibake Mpongo sealing the victory five minutes from time.
That was an excellent weekend for DR Congo on the continental stage, with the qualifications of AS Vita Club, TP Mazembe, MK and Sanga Balende for the round of 16 of the two African clubs competitions.
Santos Muntubile’s men will battle Sudanese giants Al Hilal in the next round, with the first leg scheduled on April 17-19.
