Madagascar have beaten Central Africa Republic (CAR) 3-0 in their 2018 FIFA World Cup first leg Qualifier on Saturday.
Even tough it was CAR's home match, the tie was played in Antananarivo, not in Bangui. Both legs will be played in Antananarivo due to the political situation in Bangui.
Michael Rabeson opened the scoring in the 27th minute for the visitors before Njiva Rakotoharimalala made it 2-0 in the 39th to give the islanders a comfortable half time lead.
Johann Paul then made sure of the win with a goal in the 65th minute to secure Madagascar a valuable win.
The second leg is set for 13 October in Antananarivo.
