Namibia fought back from a goal down to defeat Gambia 2-1 in Windhoek on Tuesday and book a place in the next round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

With the teams locked at 1-1 after the first leg in Bakau last week, Gambia claimed an early lead on aggregate and in the game at Sam Nujoma Stadium when Pa Dibba opened the scoring in the 10th minute.

However, the Brave Warriors levelled the match at 1-1 just a few minutes before half time when Willy Stephanus found the back of the net.

And just the past hour mark Hendrick Somaeb scored to put the hosts 2-1 up on the day and 3-2 Iin the lead on aggregate.

Namibia will face Guinea in the second round of qualifiers next month.
