Ajax Cape Town returned to winning ways in the Absa Premiership with a 3-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Saturday night.

Goals from Ndiviwe Mdabuka, Prince Nxumalo and Thabo Mosadi leading the visitors to all three points in the Free State province.

Victory moves Ajax up to 11th on the log standings while Siwelele drop down the 13th spot.

The Urban Warriors looked the stronger side from the onset with Nxumalo seeing his shot into the side-netting on 12 minutes.

Erwin Isaacs lung-busting run down the right flank almost rewarded, with Nxumalo gliding in front of his marker, before guiding his resulting shot wide of goal from a tight angle.

The Urban Warriors grabbed a deserved lead with 20 minutes on the clock. Mark Mayambela's back-heel setting Grant Margeman on his bike and after the teenager saw his initial effort saved by Partrick Tignyemb, he showed great determination to pick out Mdabuka who was left with an easy finish.

Ajax continued to boss proceedings and should've done better just short of the half-hour mark. Superb interplay opening space for Mayambela, who darted into the box, only to see his cross-cum-shot straight at Tignyemb.

Mdabuka was then unlucky to see his right-footed rocket from range canon off the woodwork in the 31st minute. The 25-year-old was offered acres off space by the Celtic defenders and he almost made them pay; Tignyemb watching on helplessly as the midfielder's attempt rattled the crossbar.

Ajax Cape Town 1-0 up at the break.

Siwelele were handed a golden chance to restore parity in the 52nd minute following a foul by Mayambela on Mthokozisi Dube inside the area, the referee left with no choice, but to point to the spot.

Musa Nyatama duly stepped up, but he could only manage to direct his shot onto the post from 12 yards. Phunya Sele Sele missing a second penalty in succession on home soil as Stanley Menzo and Co breathed a sigh of relief.

Nxumalo doubled the visitors lead in the 68th minute; running onto a defence-splitting ball by Mosadi, before guiding the ball through the legs of the onrushing Celtic goal-minder.

Jody February had to be alert to deny Khethowakhe Masuku in the 77th minute as Celtic pushed men forward. As a result, Ajax were afforded space in behind with Mosadi making sure of all three points 10 minutes later.

The speedy winger bursting clear of his marker before chipping the ball over Tignyemb, 3-0.
