Ferroviario Beira and Al-Hilal Omdurman drew 0-0 in the 2017 CAF Champions League Group A match at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo on Tuesday.
Beira remain fourth on the Group A standings with one point, while Hilal move up to the second spot with two points.
Willard Manyatera, the Beira shot-stopper, was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the opening stages of the encounter.
The Zimbabwean goal-minder was beaten a few minutes into the game, but the ball was cleared off the goalline by the Beira defence.
The home side then took control of the game towards the half-hour mark and Maninho had a chance to score, but he headed the ball wide of the target.
But Hilal were able to contain Beira until the match referee Wisdom Chewe blew the half-time whistle and it was 0-0 at the interval.
The home side applied some pressure on the Hilal defence at the beginning of the first-half as they looked to break the deadlock.
Beira attacker Amara Ugwu found some space outside the Hilal box and he unleashed a shot which was too weak to trouble the visitors' defence.
Hilal goalkeeper Loic Maxime Nguegang had to come out to gather the ball, before Beira striker Dayo Antonio could pounce after the hour-mark.
However, the Hilal defence which was led by Yousif Ali Ibrahim managed to contain Beira in the closing stages and ultimately, the two sides drew 0-0.
