South Africa’s Platinum Stars and Algeria’s MC Alger played to a 1-1 draw in a Confederation Cup, Group B match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg on Sunday.
The visiting side started the better of the two teams with Brahim Boudebouda giving MC Alger the lead in the sixth minute of the match, 1-0.
Platinum Stars, though, fought their way back into the match and managed to level matters two minutes before half time courtesy of a goal from Katlego Khunou, 1-1.
Neither side could find the back of the net in the second stanza as the two teams played to a draw in their first group match of the 2017 Confederation Cup campaign.
