CS Sfaxien thrashed Platinum Stars 3-0 in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group B match at the Stade Taieb Mhiri on Monday morning.
The victory takes the Tunisian giants to the top of Group B standings, while South Africa's Stars remain fourth on the table.
The Juventus of the Arabs got off to the best possible start as Kingsley Sokari hit the back of the net just 12 minutes into the game to make it 1-0 to Sfaxien.
Stars' talisman Robert Ng'ambi tried to level matters for his side, but Sfaxien goalkeeper Rami Jridi denied him in the 17th minute.
The home side were then awarded a penalty five minutes before the half-hour mark when Siyabonga Zulu committed a foul in the Stars box.
Karim Aouadhi then stepped up and beat Stars goalkeeper Steven Hoffman to make it 2-0 to Sfaxien from the spot-kick in the 27th minute.
The score was 2-0 to Sfaxien during the half-time break following an entertaining first half which saw Hoffman making a mistake and Sokari scored for the home side.
Sphamandla Mlilo, the Stars central defender, made a costly error just eight minutes into the second-half and the home side extended their lead.
Sfaxien midfielder Maher Hannachi punished the Dikwena defence and the attacker beat Hoffman to make it 3-0 to the home side.
Stars coach Cavin Johnson made a change seven minutes after the hour-mark - pulling out Tintswalo Tshabalala and young attacker Gift Links.
However, Sfaxien coach Jorge Costa responded by introducing defender Achref Ayadi as the Juventus of the Arabs looked to contain Dikwena.
In the end, Sfaxien ran out 3-0 winners over Stars, who were left rue their mistakes at the back in a match which was played in the city of Sfax.
