Ghana were unforgiveable in front of goal with an impressive 4-0 thumping of Cameroon in a U17 Africa Cup of Nations, Group A match at the Stade Port Gentil in Gabon on Sunday.

The opening stages of the match proved to be rather quiet, that was until Eric Ayiah handed Ghana the lead in the 25th minute, 1-0.

Ibrahim Sulley doubled Ghana’s advantage in the 32nd minute before completing his brace two minutes later to give the young Black Starlets a 3-0 lead going into the half time break.

The second half was more of the same with Ghana finding their fourth goal just after the hour mark courtesy of a second goal from Eric Ayiah, 4-0.

Ghana took their foot off the pedal after that as they cruised to a comfortable victory in their first match of the 2017 U17 Afcon.

The other Group A match which took place on Sunday saw Guinea beat hosts Gabon 5-1.

The win for Ghana sees them tie on top of Group A with three points.

Cameroon are next in action on Wednesday, 17 May against Guinea while Ghana will play Gabon on the same day.
