Badi Aouk scored a last-minute equaliser as Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca claimed a 1-1 draw at USM Alger in their CAF Champions League Group C clash in Algeria on Saturday.
Midfielder Abdelkrim Zouari had put the home side ahead as early as the fifth minute, but the hosts could not hold on for the win and allowed 2017 champions Wydad to secure what could be a vital away point.
It was the third meeting between the two sides in Africa’s elite club competition in the last two years, with USM yet to taste victory.
Wydad’s battle to get a win on the road continues, with just two successes in their last 17 matches on the road.
Wydad will host another of their recent nemesis when they entertain Mamelodi Sundowns next Saturday, while USM travel to Angolan side Petro de Luanda.
