Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thabo Nthethe said he was happy to keep a clean sheet as Sundowns beat Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium.

It was Teko Modise’s 76th minute goal that separated the two sides in this top of the table Absa Premiership clash.

Both sides now have 52 points although Chiefs have a game in hand.

"It was a hard game. We know that Chiefs make good runs. We came back as a team strongly, kept momentum going," Nthethe said.

"I’m happy to keep clean sheet at Chiefs who are a quality side, they can score in any game they play in."

Asked about a heated incident he had with Morgan Gould during the match, the man known as ‘Mr Cool’ said: “I'm Mr Cool. In the heat of the moment, coolness is still there. Sometimes you have to lose your mind to scare your opponent."
