Joel Mogorosi was handed the ‘Man of the Match’ award in Bloemfontein Celtic’s 1-0 Absa Premiership win over Platinum Stars on Sunday.

Mogorosi scored the only goal of the game, but he admits it was not their best performance and the changes coach Ernst Middendorp made at half time made all the difference.

“The first half was not up to our standard, but credit to them (Platinum Stars) because they knew what we wanted to do,” said Mogorosi.

“In the second half the coach changed our system, he loaded the left hand side and told me to go there and cheat and see what happens, and it worked for us because I got the goal.”

Mogorosi was also quick to thank his teammates for their patience with him and he promises to keep working hard in the future.

“Thanks to my teammates, they have been supporting me. I have been missing chances, but they really pushing me hard to score and get my form back. I will keep working hard,” concluded Mogorosi.
