Shooting Stars needed two penalty kick goals to beat hard-fighting Ekiti United in a Nigeria National League game on Saturday.
Sylvanus Ebiaku stepped forward twice to score from the penalty spot to see off the Ekiti boys.
Ebiaku's first goal was in the 34th minute before he completed his brace in the 83rd minute.
Ebiaku told AfricanFootball.com he was delighted to get the goals in this must-win match.
"I am so happy for my two goals which give us victory and put us in good position on the table," said the experienced defender.
But Ekiti United dictated the pace of the game for the better part so much so that a cross section of the Oluyole Warriors fans exited the match venue before the end of the match as they were disappointed with the performance of the home team.
Ekiti United coach, Moses Adewunmi was impressed by his team's display but said they were to blame for 3SC victory.
He said "All I know is that we played better than 3SC, but we gave room for our defeat.
We have seen a lot and that is one of those things in the game of football and the home team has already won, so I don't want to make any complaints about the officiating but we live everything to God and all we have to do now is to go back home and correct our mistakes.
“We can still achieve our aims as the season is going because we have a good squad."
