Olympiakos star Michael Olaitan has begun training on his own after he was recently hospitalised in Greece when he slumped during an Athens derby against city rivals Panathinaikos.
Olaitan was brought to on the pitch and was held up in hospital for various tests to be carried out to ascertain the true cause of the problem.
Doctors have said it will take several months before the former Nigeria U20 star is back playing again.
A top source specially informed AfricanFootball.com: “Olaitan has begun training on his own. It’s a very good sign that all will be well for him very soon.”
The 21-year-old Olaitan enjoyed a great first season at Greek champions Olympiakos as he made 16 appearances and scored eight goals when he moved as a free agent from another Greek club Veria.
Former Nigeria World Cup star Sunday Oliseh had even tipped him for the World Cup in June before disaster struck in Athens.
He is expected to soon return to Nigeria for the summer holidays.
