TP Mazembe and Zambia striker Jonas Sakuwaha is itching for his forthcoming Sudanese reunion with his ex-foes Al Hilal in the group stage of the 2014 CAF Champions League next month.

The four-time champions from DR Congo travel to Khartoum on May 17 to face Al Hilal in both sides opening Group A tie.

Other teams in Group A are Zamalek of Egypt and Mazembe’s local rivals from Kinshasa AS Vita.

Sakuwaha is very familiar with A Hilal whom he played against in the Khartoum derby during the two seasons he spent at El Merreikh.

"I am happy that I will be meeting my old rivals for I have scored against them many times," Sakuwaha told AfricanFootball.com.

"I have scored two goals in the league home and away against Al Hilal and then scored two goals at home in the group stage of the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup."

Sakuwaha is currently in his second season at Mazembe whom he joined in January, 2013 but struggled initially to hold down a first team place due to injury.

The Zambian striker won one league title with El Merreikh and also picked up the Sudan golden boot in his first season there in the 2011/2012 season in which he scored 19 goals.
