Etoile du Sahel denied their Zambians guest Nkana their first Group B win after rallying twice to pick up a 4-3 home win in Sousse on Saturday night.
The win lifts the Tunisians top of Group B on five points after match day three.
Etoile are one point ahead of Egyptian side Al Ahly who only play on Sunday when they face third placed Sewe Sport of Cote d'Ivoire, who have two points, on Sunday in Abidjan.
Nkana took the lead in the 7th minute through Abdelrazzek Ghazi who scored an own goal after he failed to clear Simon Bwalya's charge down on Etoile's goal.
Etoile equalised in the 21st minute from the penalty stop after Nkana defender Maybin Chishimba nudged Youssef Mouihbi in the back.
Baghdad Boundjah stepped up to send Rabson Muchelenganga the wrong way.
Ten minutes later, Nkana restored their lead when Orlando Pirates target Evans Kangwa fired in the ball from close range to see the Zambians take a 2-1 halftime lead.
Etoile equalised in the 51st minute through 46th minute substitute midfielder Khalil Bangoura who pounced on Ghazi's shot that came off the right post.
Then twelve minutes before full-time Nkana were also handed a penalty after defender Falhi Radhouan fouled Reynold Kampamba.
Derrick Mwansa then stepped up to convert the resultant penalty.
However, Nkana's lead lasted just four minutes when Lassaad Jaziri equalised before Bangoura fired in another poachers in the 85th minute after the ball hit the woodwork to complete his brace to wrap-up Etoile’s win.
Meanwhile, Nkana remain rooted at the bottom of Group B with one points from three game.
They must now beat Etoile in Kitwe on July 26 to keep any interest in the Confederation Cup alive.
Action takes a month and half long break to make way for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
