Zanaco opened a four point lead on the log while Power Dynamos reclaimed second place on the 2014 FAZ Super League table.
At Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka, Zanaco rallied to beat hosts Green Buffaloes 3-2 in the two sides Week 12 derby clash in a match the visitors suffered a setback in the 40th minute when goalkeeper Allan Chibwe was rushed to hospital with a concussion following collision with home-side striker Lineker Mwiikisa.
When action resumed five minutes later, Buffaloes took the lead in stoppage time of the first half through defender Sanida Zulu.
Zanaco midfielder Roderick Kabwe then led his sides’ comeback firstly with a 60th minute penalty after Matthews Macha was fouled in the box.
Augustine Mulenga then put Zanaco in the 70th before Kabwe completed his brace with an 80th minute free kick.
Steven Kabamba scored Buffaloes consolation in stoppage time.
Zanaco move to 29 points from 11 games with a match in hand while Power are second on 25 points after a 2-0 home win over Napsa Stars at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Goals by Jimmy Ndhlovu and Alex Ngonga in the 9th and 35th minutes respectively helped Power back to winning ways a week after Konkola Blades beat them 1-0 to end their unbeaten run in the 2014 season.
