Midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Olivier Giroud will start for France against Nigeria in Brazilia on Monday in their knock-out clash of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, according to L’Equipe.

The Juventus rising star has been preferred to Moussa Sissoko to do the hard work in the middle of the park with Yohan Cabaye and Blaise Matuidi, and the Arsenal centre-forward is back into action upfront between Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena with Antoine Griezmann to start on the bench.

Centre-back Laurent Koscielny has been paired with Raphael Varane at the heart of the defence as a replacement to injured Mamadou Sakho, while as expected, French coach Didier Deschamps has put his trust in keeper Hugo Lloris and full-backs Mathieu Debuchy and Patrice Evra.
