Benin Republic goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi has said he expects victory over his new club Sunshine Stars in an international test match in Cotonou on Tuesday.

Nigeria-born Fabiyi, who joined Sunshine recently from Abia Warriors, told AfricanFootball.com he hopes to stop the Nigeria Premier League from scoring against him.

The former Enyimba shot stopper said: "I know the match will be a good test for the both sides because we are playing Malawi in the Nations Cup qualifier in two weeks, while Sunshine are also preparing for second round of the Nigeria Premier League, but we (Benin) are going to carry the day.

"I am going to give my best on Tuesday because the national team comes first and I will make good saves to earn my country a good outing against my club.

“I love Sunshine so much that is why I joined them, but I have to place national team first because it is important for us to play at the Africa Cup of Nations next in year in Morocco.

"I've been training hard for Malawi game and match against Sunshine will be good test for me.”

Abia Warriors have contested Fabiyi’s switch to Sunshine Stars during the World Cup recess.
