Cape Verde will look to maintain their perfect record in Group F when they face Mozambique in a 2015 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Estadio de Machava in Matola on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Sharks are currently sitting comfortably at the top of the table with six points from two matches after starting their campaign with back-to-back wins.

Rui Aguas’ men hammered Niger 3-1 away from home in their opener before consolidating their position with a 2-1 home win over Zambia.

The Portuguese is pleased with the way they have started their campaign and is hopeful that they will maintain their momentum and qualify for a second straight AFCON after reaching the quarterfinals in the previous tournament in 2013.

Mozambique on the other hand will be in search of their first win of the tournament as they look to reduce Cape Verde’s lead and also pull away from bottom two sides, Zambia and Niger.

The Mambas were held to a 0-0 draw by Chipolopolo in their first match before playing to a 1-1 draw at home against Niger.

Joao Chissano’s side will have to do without the injured pair of Mario and Jojo, but no replacements will be called up as the coach believes he has enough cover in the squad.
