Al Ahly coach Juan Carlos Garrido says the hard work has only began for the team following last Saturday’s 2014 CAF Confederation Cup triumph.

Garrido guided the eight-time African club champions to their debut CAF Confederation Cup triumph over the weekend following a 1-0 win over Sewe Sport of Cote d'Ivoire in Cairo to lift the trophy 2-2 on aggregate over two legs.

"Now we have to realise more victories so it won't be an easy phase," Garrido said.

"The player who won't be willing to fight for wins will have no place on the team."

While Al Ahly are perched in lofty surroundings in Africa, the same cannot be said about their status in the Egyptian league.

Ahly Ahly are currently 12th in the twenty team Premier League on 14 points from seven games with five matches in hand.

They resume their league obligations on Thursday when they visit Smouha who are just below them in 13th position.
