Injured Zambia midfielder Changwe Kalale has been offered a chance to travel and cheer his team mates at next months 2015 CAF U17 Cup in Niger by Under-17 coach Chris Kaunda.
Kalale sustained a spinal injury on December 14 in a car accident en route to joining the senior Zambia team for the first of phase of pre-2015 Africa Cup camp in Lusaka.
That accident also ruled out defender Nyambe Mulenga and goalkeeper Satchmo Chakawa from the Equatorial Guinea tournament.
The Zambia midfielder who was also part of the Niger 2015 Under-17 Cup qualifiers is reportedly now able to move his arms and legs but cannot still sit up.
"We hope he will be OK by the time we go to the Africa Cup because we intend to go with him," Kaunda said.
"His number 6 jersey will be given to him to wear on the bench although he won't be playing but we want him to be part of the team.
"He helped the team qualify and we just hope the Football Association of Zambia will help us travel with him to Niger."
Zambia Under-17 are in Group A at the tournament that will run from February 15 to March 1 in Niger.
Nigeria, Guinea and hosts Niger are the teams they will face in Group A.
