Nigeria youth international Moses Simon debuted for his Belgian club Gent on Saturday as they beat hosts Mouscron-Péruwelz 3-1.
‘Daddy’, as he is widely called, played 10 minutes on his debut as he was an 80th minute substitute for Benito Raman.
The winger was a hit for Trecin in Slovakia where he scored 13 goals and was linked with several other clubs.
Meanwhile, Nigeria striker Batholomew Ogbeche salvaged a point for his Dutch Eredivise team Cambuur as they played 2-2 away to ADO Den Haag on Saturday.
Cambuur are now seventh on the league table with 27 points from 18 games.
The former PSG striker earned his side a point on the road when he helped them came back twice, he struck in the 36th minute to equalised and take the game to 1-1.
He completed his brace with another equaliser in the 78th minute to end the game 2-2.
Ogbeche has now scored 10 goals in the league this season.
The 30-year-old striker has played Metz, PSG, Bastia(all in France), Cadiz, Real Valladolid, Deportivo Alaves, Xerez(all in Spain), Kavala(Greece), Middlesbrough(England) and Al Jazira (UAE).
He featured for Nigeria in Korea/Japan2002 FIFA World Cup.
