Cape Verde are a side of hard grafters but their one player of genuine quality is Sporting Lisbon forward Heldon, who showed all his best attributes in the 1-1 draw with Tunisia on Sunday.
Blessed with excellent pace and skill with the ball at his feet, as well as a quick football brain and a rocket shot, he at times terrorised the Tunisian back four.
He laid on a number of opportunities for teammates and was then involved in the pivotal moment of the game for the Blue Sharks.
Showing great pace, he burst into the box and was felled by Tunisian defender Syam Ben Yousseff for a penalty.
Not one to shirk responsibility, he picked himself up the floor and converted a perfect penalty into the top corner that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
He is far and away the dangerman in this Cape Verde side.
