Power Dynamos visit Al Khartoum of Sudan on Saturday in the two sides’ 2015 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round, first leg match.

This weekends game will be Power coach Tennant Chilumba‘s first CAF engagement with the Zambian club since he took charge in June, 2013.

“Our objective is not to concede a goal here because we want to finish off the job here and with the right attitude from the players, we will conquer,” Chilumba said.

Saturday’s match will also be Power's debut meeting against Al Khartoum who are coached by ex-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.

Appiah has enjoyed a modest start to his tenure following his appointment in December with a win, two draws and one defeat after four games played into the 2015 Sudan league season.

Power on the other hand will be playing their first competitive game in 2015 and in Khartoum where they have not won in 24 years.

Their last trip to Khartoum was a forgettable one fourteen years ago in the 2001 CAF Champions League where they lost 2-0 to El Merreikh who later beat Power 2-1 in Kitwe.

Power’s only away win in Khartoum came in 1991 in the second round of the old CAF Cup Winners Cup after defeating Al Ittihad 2-0 to advance 4-1 on aggregate on their way to lifting the title that year.

Power remain the only Zambian club to have lifted a continental club title to date. CLICK HERE TO VISIT AFRICAN FOOTBALL ZAMBIA
